"Who's Marcus?" is an indie alt rock artist from Houston, Texas, drawing heavily from emo influence, introspection, and atmosphere. Surrounded by music from an early age, he was raised in a house full of creators where sound and creativity were part of everyday life. His father worked as a music producer, and his brother, D'angelo George, is also an artist—making music feel natural and ever-present, but never obligatory. Marcus eventually stumbled across the mobile app BandLab and felt like he had found the bridge. He noted that recording vocals on his phone eliminated the traditional pressure of the studio, making the entire experience feel more personal and deeply rooted in what he wanted to say.
With no pressure from his family to follow a certain path, Marcus found music on his own terms and began creating when it felt right. Blending indie, alternative, and emo elements, his work explores themes of identity, longing, nostalgia, and emotional vulnerability. Who's Marcus? creates music for late nights, quiet reflection, and moments when feelings outweigh words.
His latest EP, Write Back To Me (It’s Been Two Months), is out now, featuring the standout tracks "Where U Been Girl" and "Insecure."
